Jennie Burke is a nonfiction writer interested in health and societal issues that affect women, children and families. Her work has appeared in a variety of national publications, including The New York Times, The Huffington Post, The Independent and The Rumpus’ Voices on Addiction. Her book FIX, family addiction, opiate overdose and harm reduction in America will be published in 2027 by Broadleaf Books. She is represented by Pam Gruber at Highline Literary Collective.
She is a nationally certified secondary English teacher and has taught in middle and high school classrooms across the country. Born and raised in Baltimore, she lives in Maryland with her husband and her family.
